Sorry I've not been keeping up! I'm bad! *Slaps my own hand* BAD!

Anyway, here is the next riddle, sorry that is is not one of my best:

I once had fins to swim all day,
but gradually they went away.
My diet changed from plant to animal,
My skin is now bright, though once it was dull.

Green, green grass is not rich enough
For my brilliance to be snuffed;
a radiant, wet jem of a life,
as I cut through the water like a knife.

Smooth as glass, my skin, it gleams,
and I seem to be built without any seams.
My eyes are like marbles, shiny and round,
To help me see everything around.

Oh, it's not easy, being green... I somehow think that both Kermit and Robin would agree that the riddle above might apply to them. But only as a guess. Especially since there are other people who might be more inclined to guess than them.

That's right. Sorry I've not been keeping up. I've been really not feeling well lately, and I have been mostly sleeping all day.

Next riddle:

Blessed by the golden sun
And happy bobbing heads.
In the morning warmth
Spiders spin gossamer threads.

Fruit heavy upon the trees
Weighing down the tips.
Young rabbits in the field,
Jumping, running, doing flips.

The lion is its ruling beast,
So the signs do claim.
Such is this expanse of time,
That holds so much fame.

Raging fires across the land
Leaping in tongues of heat.
These bring not a care
To the playing children in bare feet.

With the end comes chill death,
As colours fade away.
As much as some would like,
Never can it stay.

All things considered, I think that the answer requiers a little seasoning before it is served. Unfortunately, up here, what that means is nasty heat and lots of humidity. We're not as fond of it as we are of it's opposite, but then again, there's not much you can do to compete with snow.

All said and done, l'été is an interesting time for schoolchildren, who escape the tyrrany of their books for a short while.

Well, you either have the answer or you are very good a BSing. LOL. For those wanting to know without figuring out another riddle to get the answer to the first one, it's 'summer'.

This riddle might be hard because not everyone may have come into contact with the item that is the answer.

Dawn is on the ocean's shore,
and the waves are in your ears.
Ah, but such a simple thing
can bring memories from past years.

Twisted case filled with sound;
the sea trapped in its coils,
It sounds of waves roaring,
as it's waters boil.

But its walls are truly dry,
with no wetness to be found,
so how does such an elegant piece
capture such a vibrant sound?

Indeed. They both work well, but I think that most people would be a bit shell-shocked at hearing the sea's sounds if they didn't know what to expect. So, through a trick of the ear, we hear the waves of sound.

I don't want to give away the answer when I guess, if I have it. I'd rather lead the querant to finding the answer through my own.

Creating shimmering rivulets
As it moves with haste.

From a well, deep within
Comes the rushing tide.
A strange and twisted path,
Such a crazy ride.

Oddly, it is warm
At the same time as being cold.
Its effect works on all,
Be they young, or be they old.

Stranger than a purple sun,
Yet as common as the rain.
A happy moment it can grace,
Or come from a shredding pain.
