Thats why I have a S15 with All the weight reduction, racing suspension and a roll cage. The new licence tests are a PITA like always though....

Grand Turismo 4 is now my all time favorite game.

I hate the Racing but the opening song is "Panama" By Van Halen.

Such a great one for this thread!

I also love how they made boost realistically fall off with smaller turbos in the upper RPMs. Like my with Eclipse GT and stage 2 kit it stays nice and high from about 3000-5800 and then it starts falling off real quick like after tat.

I have to say that I am impressed with many things about this game.

First off...

MY CAR IS IN THERE! Damn... Finally. I mean why wouldn't you put an 3G Eclipse in a racing game of this type.

They even put the 4G Eclipse in there. Nice.

I like that you can import your cash. Good to know I get to start out with an Evo! Smile

I like the physics of the car. I love the fact that it simulates the movement of the car when accelerating, shitfting, turning, brakeing, etc! Good stuff.

They added a G meter so you know how much GForce is on the car in a turn. The Evo MR stock can hit .98G on the skid bad. That was about right. It got to about 1, then I started sliding. Good job guys.

I was less impressed by the graphics in 1080i mode than I thought I would be. Still some jaggies. However, it's still the best looking racing game out there right now.

That's it for now. I've only run about 5 races so far. I want to work on some license tests so I can get me some free cars. Smile

you're always going to get some jaggies with a ps2 game, i remember reading something about there not being something in the hardware to reduce them and smooth them out

Yeah the inability to do Anti Aliasing... Something the N64 did way to much of.

But what I meant was I was surprised that I was able to see them when the rez was more than double normal.

The were much smaller... I will say that

The last racing game I played on my TV was NFSU 1. It was horrible when it came to jaggies.

lol, luckily for me i only played nfsu1 on a 20" tv, so it looked nice n smooth, the only feature of that game i liked tho was customisation of your cars, my perfect racing game? nfsu's cusomisation, GT4's graphics and burnout 2's (not played 3) adrenaline rush and speed, on xbox purely for its triggers
