Has anyone tried installing the HD and running Emulators on their PS2?

I would think it'd be quite easy. I know the XB can run every emulator from Atari 2600 to N64, altho it really is more computer than gdedicated game console. I myself have a Sega Genesis emulator for my PS2 (and there's an SNES one also) and a Gameboy, NES, and SNES emulator for my Dreamcast so I would think it's not a question of whether the PS2 can run it, it'd be "can the PS2 run it from the HD?" I'd have to think yes, as long as it reads as a PS2 game on the initial load.

Of course that may not have been your meaning at all tho.

does your system have to be chipped to play the emulators if not from the HD?

Can you send me the link for where you got these emulators?

*shakes head* PS2 Emulation just isn't there yet. Most, if not all, require you to be chipped, and a lot of emus are still not up to snuff.

If you want to get into console emulation... erm... on a console... Do it right. On an Xbox. Just get a nice chip. If you're worried about Xbox Live, don't be. So many new chips come with stealth switches. Really, one of the BEST purchases I've ever made was a chip for my Xbox.

(and I'm in town now so I can install it for you. Razz )

I make take you up on that Una. After all, my XBox doesn't get much work these days as it is.

I don't use Xbox live so that's not a worry.

Do you suggest getting a new HD for the Box?

I should probably get a memcard and stick my KOTOR saves on there.

The very idea of this just made me giddy.

Well it IS the only thing the XBox is good for besides KOTOR. For me anyway.
