I simply ADORE Kyo, but Tohru is like my role model. She is so sweet and innocent, and very giving. Sometimes I wish I could be like that. It would sure make life a lot less stressful.

I found the box set of this anime at hastings this evening and seeing as how I am a sucker for a complete box set, I decided there was nothing better than to spend the first 100 bucks of my paycheck on. *giggles* I love buying new anime. Anyways.... Dai and I just watched the first episode and I have to say that I already consider it a good buy.

Dai is back from putting Aradia to bed so I am off to watch more Fruits basket. Stay tuned for my full critque(SP?) tomorrow, since it's my day off.

Wow..... I mean Wow. This has to be one of the best Anime I have ever seen. Words dont describe the coolness of this anime, and I dont think anything I could say would do it justice. Anyone who hasnt seen it needs to, at least, rent it. However it is more than worth a buy.

And I have to hand it to Funamation(SP?) on a Superb dub. I'd place it up there with Cowboy Bebop's dub. I didnt watch but 3 episodes dubbed, so there may be some bad spots, but all the core characters were done very well.

On a final note:

Aside from the complete lack of Fruit in the entire series as well as the occasional bubbly monkey mischief(SP?) moment, I give this anime a 9.9 out of 10 on the Faye-o-meter.

Edit: WTF!!! "Bubbly Monkey Mischief" Thats not what I typed remotly. Whatever.

Well, they did address the whole Fruits Basket thing in one episode. Remember Tohru's childhood thing with her being the Riceball and all the other kids were fruit from a fruits basket?

..though, admittedly, that's not necessarily the best way to name your series..

Fruits Basket is way up there on my list of anime to buy. I loved it, and even more surprising my mom did too (so rare)! Kyo & Yuki were my fav's but i have to say the ending was...disappointing o.o; Am I the only one?

I usually dont like endings like this, but Fruits Basket had something to it that really drew me in. I enjoyed the ending very much.

The Fruit comment was a j/k.... the reason behind the title is pretty obvious because of that episode.

Anyways.... personal favorite characters wer Kyo and Hana.

XDDDD Keslyn, you can be Kureno ^_- 'Me pushes you around enough. Though that would make her Akito. O.o

And, I wasn't really disappointed by the ending. But I really did want more, especially since the manga is still going, and there are a lot of things that weren't addressed in the Anime (for instance, EVERYTHING about the curse, and the whole thing with Kagura and Kyo...)

Fortunately, there will be a second season. It just may not happen while we're still alive.
