England were being built up to slaughter this team of primarily part-timers in their world cup qualifier last night, especially after Azerbaijan lost 8-0 to Poland at the weekend, but as you can see by the topic title, we only won 2-0 which doesnt suprise me really as England never do as predicted, I feel sorry for Michael Owen though, he needed 1 goal to equal Alan Shearers record for international goals and couldnt hit the net the whole night, the one time he managed it, He'd straid slightly offside, not only that he recieved a booking which rules him out of the Wales match in september (i think thats the next time england play)

Not a bad game, I dont see what everyones whole need to score loads of goals against them was. For me, a wins a win.

which is what i said to a friend before the match, svens never lost a qualifier so i think its safe to say we're thru to the finals
