Do you mean Castlevania Chronicles? It was both a direct (with an enhanced mode featuring a new look for Simon and new music) port of the X68000 game (computer system never released here). Chronicles was a limited release game that was made for the fans. Konami has hinted the release of other rare Castlevanias (mainly the second and the PC Engine version of Dracula X).
Basically, Chronicles was a remake of the original Castlevania on the NES...which was a remake of the EXTREMELY difficult MSX game Vampire Killer (MSX was another type of computer that was released in Asia and Japan, but not in the US...VK was one of the games that made it to english). |

... I never said you were lying. I just thought you were talking about SoTN.. And yeah, as Rune said, Chronicals was both a port and a remake of a remake of the original CV for NES. |

Which was, again, a remake of Vampire Killer on the MSX...
You guys want a challenge. Download an MSX emulator, download Vampire Killer, and get ready to pull the hair from your roots. Imagine Castlevania I, only with the ability to explore the area more freely (instead of always going foward), have a time limit, and take on the entire game with 3 lives and no continues.
Hardest game ever! I can barely get to area 3.. |

I've always been a big Castlevania fan. SoTN Rules!
Part 2 was very cool but looking back, does'nt seem to fot in w/ the others. |
