I'm glad they let her go. On the thought of Lethal injection, have any of you seen that done? it looks like it hurts, a lot. They had her on enough pain medications that she didn't feel anything.

I still believe the best way to end one's pain is to smash the living creature's head flat leading to instantly make all neurological activity cease.

...

But it might seem a lil barbarous, not to mention that for those that wants to have their relatives exposed, it makes it hard to reconstruct with accuraty someone's entire head and face >_>

But yeah ... what I do find barbarous is keeping someone from dying naturally in such exasperate situations. And trust me, with medical advancement, this is FAR from the last case. The more we'll be able to ''maintain'' people alive for undetermined periods of time, the more such things will happen. They can save lives! they say ... Their is hope! they say ... all that to fight the inevitable, to deny the truth, in refusal to let go ... WAGE WAR ON DEATH! ya! they can keep fighting! Keep them alive! (note the sarcasm here) hmmph <_<

We're are treading dangerously close to the line on this one.

I'll just say this. Do the ends justify the means. From a 'war fighting' stand point. The cost of keeping her alive was far outwayed it SEEMS from my view by THOSE INVOVLED not THOSE WHO RALLY than keeping her alive.

In this case, the 'right' thing to do was what was best for all those involved...we hope. Either way, life is just one transition from this plane to another. Oh wait, scratch I said that. I don't wanna start a religious debate.

True ... from a 'war fighting' stand point, if to keep her alive and suffering did seem to ease the suffering of MANY around her, I guess that yeah, it could be seen as worth it, since why end HER suffering, only to cause the suffering of many? You wouldn't want to sacrifice many people just to save one, you'd want to do the opposite ... hmm, but I'll try not to think too much about ''black hawk down'' ... or ''saving private ryan'' ... cause yeah those are movies that might not perfectly reflect the actual behavior of the military. Besides, who am I to either question orders that were given to soldiers back in WWII, or to question the feeling of solidarity fellow soldiers felt for a fallen rookie that led to the loss of many BUT did save that rookie's ass? And why am I even talking about that? That is SO off-topic, kinda.

This is my personal opinion, and it may mean nothing to anyone. But, it dosen't have to, it's just my two cents.

Personally, if I was in that situation, I would want to die, too. Now, maybe Schiavo didn't, but that's not what I'm getting at yet. I beleive that removing the feeding tube is awful and inhumane. Starving is not a way to "end the suffering". It only causes suffering. I've been in a situation without food for only a few days--and even though that's only a fraction of what this poor woman went through, I know it wasn't pleasant.

But back to my situation--I would want to die too. I believe they should give people with living wills stating this lethal injections. But--I reinerate people with living wills stating that they would like this option in this situation I'm not sure if Terri Schaivo had one or not--but that's my two cents.

As for her husband, for once, I'm with Kensei. This guy was twisted--he was already engaged to another woman, he already had two children with this other woman. Excuse me, but, I think that does away with any compassionate front he was trying to hold.

My second thing is that Michael Schiavo's lawyer said Terri looked "beautiful" as she was dying, "peaceful". So, why is it then, that he didn't allow cameras into her hospital room? Since when is starvation, emaciation, and suffering beautiful?

This last thing fully backs my inherent distrust in most men.

Bah.

But it's alright--All is seen in the eyes of God, isn't it? It'll be handled one day.

There's my two cents worth, and it may not be what you're looking for, but, it's my opinion for all it counts.
