Those are pretty cool...but the problem I see is when they start malfunctioning so you can't get into your house. That would suck...and you know it would happen when it's raining out.

Also, it would just be a matter of time before SOMEONE figures out how to hack them. And when burglar's find out how (and they will) they it'll be even easier for them to break into a house. And at $300 each, the only people who are going to have them are going to be filthy stinking rich assholes...or geeks...

I doubt they would go through any great lengths to break into my house. (other than breaking a window.)

True that can copy the card but without the card they would have to through random codes at it until one matched.

What I would actually like to have is a house wide system like many businesses have. You have a door with a handle and a black plate on the wall. Card goes up, LED turns green, door opens.
