not sure, but i would at least look into it. even if your entitled to $50 a week working part time thats still $50 more than $0 till you get another job. |

Unemployment is based off your social security number and the amount you made in the past 4 quarters averaged over...Then there's some more math to determine how much and how long you get it for.
I think you only get about 16 weeks of it but the math determines how much you get in 16 weeks.
Granted if they call your boss and he states you were A) Lazy, B) Verbally abusive C) did'nt work well with others D) Etc. then the burden to prove you weren't any of those things falls on your shoulders.
For things like constant write-ups and missed work days the employer needs to prove it.
Also your employer pays a part of your unemployment so there are some recourses they can take if they're privately owned. |
