Cartoon Network to Co-Produce Anime
Plans have been revealed at the recent Tokyo Anime Fair for the Cartoon Network to co-produce two new Japanese animated series.
The Cartoon Network and Production I.G. will expand the 2003 IGPX short animated series into a full length series for American broadcast this fall.
The Cartoon Network and Japan's Aniplex and Toei Animation also revealed plans to produce an original Power Puff Girls animated series titled "Demashitaa! Powerpuff Girls Z." Japan's AV Watch hosts two sample images of the production: image one, image two.

Hey! I like PPG, and from what it looks like, they might make them a bit more mature, which would be cool...because that's really my only main problem with the american PPG. |

From the clip I saw, it doesn't look like they're gonna' try to make the weird pop-culture references. I think it's just gonna' be a magical girl show done normal anime style. Looks ALOT like Sailor Moon style, actaually.
Personally, I like Bleedman's designs better, heh. But, meh, I'll give this a watch. |

Actually it will surprise you to know the company in charge of making this did illustrate the Sailor Moon and Full Metal Alchemist Anime. |

Amen! I love how Bleedman's comic is going. This just seems a little bit off to me. I'll give it a shot, but I'm prolly better off just reading his comic. |

Well thats the joy of putting "Doujin" in the title. When you know it's a doujinshi you can just appreciate that without any outside sources or "offical* changes. Just the same I think everything deserves at least one chance before it goes on my chopping block. |

PPG anime? Really you shouldn't be surpised. I mean they did co- make Big O 2. Did you really think they would stop there? Foolish humans. This new PPG's anime looks sweet. The salior moon jokes will come so don't be surpised when they come. I just can not wait till I see anime Mojo or Sedusa or Fuzzy Lumpkins. Wow I am getting excited but let's not stop there. How about an anime Dexter's Lab or Johnny Bravo? That would be awesome...at least I think so.
