Hee. Azumanga Daioh has been described as the Seinfeld of anime, because it doesn't really go anywhere, do anything, or save the world, one giant mecha at a time.
Despite that, it's hilarious. Take some of the various genres of schoolgirls and flip them over and about so that they almost parody themselves, and that's Azumanga Daioh.
