So, I found this program called Magic Set Editor, that lets you create your own Magic cards. It's SOOO much fun to play with, and it's probably a really good tool to play with if you are a fledgling card designer and want to practice. Anyway, I've been toying with these for a while now, and they're all basically complete, so I wanted to showcase what I've been working on. The only thing is that I need to know the actual artist names so that I can give them adequte credit on the card.

Here's the first I created. Honestly, this is still one of my favorite, probably because the image I used worked SO well, and didn't have to be altered AT ALL:


Then we have this. I'm pretty proud of this too, particularly because I had to teach myself how to edit images to a small degree so I could take out the "Trigun" that was on the right side of his face:


So then I decided I should make some cards based off of PO! The Rev and Doot cards were easy to work with, however Shino and Sperrit were a bit more difficult because I couldn't crop the image to fit into the card frame without making it deteriorate, which is why they may seem a bit blurry:



What do you all think? If anyone knows the game, what do you think of the power-level of them?

doot seems to be on the powerful side, but not over powerd.
The high color req for reverend balances the reletivly low converted mana, but he is also on the powerful side. I think sperrit is the most balanced card, very powerful when used right, but reletivly fragile with the one toughness.
Shino though is realy over powered. for all his abilities, he should probably be 5rr or 3rrr. this is what i thought when i saw shino
Turn 1: bonespliter
Turn 2: Empyrial Plate
Turn 3: Seething Song, Shino
Turn 4: dont play a land until after you attack. Equip both, Attack with a 10/9 double striker if you went first, or a 11/10 if you went second

and thats just the first way to abuse it that came to mind.
Shino should most definiatly be weaker or cost more. while 3 is more vunirible than four, its still a sturdy creature. and 5 mana is a highend, but still playable card. not to mention that you can attack each turn withought leaving yourself open because of the vigilance.

though i think all the cards are good and cool. good job

Rev was actually done a while ago, and after looking him over today, he IS kinda powerful for his cost.

Sperrit is fragile, but he's basically a combo card.

Shino probably is most likely overpowered. I haven't played/analyzed Double strike too much, so I wasn't really sure where to go with it. I'll have to rethink him. But then again, these are really not supposed to be played, but be more for flavor.

Also, you do have to take into effect that these are all legends, which for all intents and purposes is a drawback, since you can only have one. That's why, traditionally, Legends have been so powerful.

But good points. I'm glad that you have adequate enough background i n the game to analyze these for playability as well as style.

Power/toughness, abillty to hit/take a hit

Edit: i like all of them except shino. i think the others are powerful but balanced by being legiends, shino on the other hand is a freaking power house when used in the right deck, just 2 bonesplitters on him makes him a huge threat.

Edit 2: i think if you took his power to 0 or 1 then lowerd his mana cost to 2rr he would be very playable and a good sised threat.

Buda's pretty much right Shino, you're a house. I probably should amend him, especially since I gave him that equipment ability because I was planning on creating Legendary Equipment cards of Bianco and Nero, so that when they're equipped to Shino, he basically can't be stopped.

Perhaps taking away Double strike?

I think bianco should give him +1/+1 and double then nero +1/+1 and vigilance. that way, you can lower his cost to make him more powerful. split the cost between three cards and you can pay for it more easly, and since they will be equips not enchants, there wont be any 3 for 1 factor for cards like terror or rend flesh

ill give you some relitive powerlevels

1/1 weak creature often has powerful abilitys or has no abilites and is very low cost, also squirrils are 1/1s

2/2 withought abilities 2/2s are often referd to as a bear, it comes from a card called grizzly bears.

3/3 might be a heavly armourd and traind soldier. or a gorrilla. also a tiger could be a 2/2 2/3 3/2 or 3/3

4/4 might be a small dragon

5/5 might be a medium wurm(kinda serpentlike, and huge.)

10/10 a squirril the size of a building.

a normal human in this day might make a 0/1 or a martial artist 1/1
