What I Learned At AWA 05

To continue a trend, let's start off another rousing round of What I Learned At AWA!

* The main video room can hold an astronomical amount of people!

* An astronomical amount of people in an iddy biddy room = stanky, sweaty, and humid non-fun times.

* Stanky, sweaty and humid non-fun times during the AMV competition combined with limited visibility really, REALLY infuriate me.

* We pretty much have taken over AWA.

* Little girls can get awfully commanding when weilding a weapon. I'm sleeping... I'm SLEEPING!

* GAAZ has sleep apnea and needs a bed of his own.

* BWS can sleep on command.

* Glow sticks, when swung at a high velocity, can prove to be effective death dealing weapons.

* Hearing "this is the best thing ever" never gets old.

* Someone thinks I look sexsay in a shop shirt. Wink

* I forget to do everything that I planned on doing when put in a con environment.

* My son is a masterful escape artist. Next year I'm bringing nails to tack him to the floor. And he really likes Naruto.

* It's embarassing not knowing how to open a bottle of Ramune at a con.

* Some songs are still really hard to listen to.

Things I Learned At Previous Conventions, But Still Hold True Today

*Sciler's got some dern knockers.

* Shino is the master salesman... it's easy when it comes from your heart.

* If I ever join the boy scouts, I want Doot to be my Den Mother.

* The PO Crew is just about the coolest group of peeps ever. You folks never let me down.

*walking in towels, while amusing, does not sit well with the hotel rent-a-cops
*Don't go cheap on make up, it melts.

Things I learned:

- Una never fails to amaze me (read; make me cry) with his ability to create something that makes everyone smile and laugh

- Gaaz is the best body guard ever (and he gives me Taiko-y goodness)

- Being a part of a PRG and Sciler sammich is awesome!

- Yes, even I can not recognize my own sister.

- PRG has remarkable patience for last minute badge makings.

- Shino has remarkable patience for MIA Doots.

- Billy BIGBAWLS!

- Silly B*tch

- "You can throw him at your friends and not have charges pressed against you!"

- No matter how much you try to keep it tidy behind the booth, you still wind up with a bajillion bags and weapons behind it.

- You and the Cap'n make it happen, Faye!

- FIB NEWTON! GET IN THE BOX!

- Hoth makes up perdy.

- Half Cleopatra Silverorb.

- FAHT NOISES and uber giggles.

- Subtitles movies after a long con day makes Doot a tired ninja.

- Excel is our tallest member. And he gets misty eyed! Wink

- Fish tank bubbles Doot.

- Missing members found! THEY BETTER POST!

* Hotels, even ones that hold conventions, are incapable of arranging groups in hotel rooms near each other.
* Gaaz makes a very good seat.
* Never underestimate the power of a U-Haul cardboard box with green fabric and wings.
* With some engineering hotel air conditioners can go to 11.
* Always ignore. “Do not exit - silent alarm” signs.
* Hoth, like Sisco, enjoys sleeping under tables.
* When people get high there is nothing that they like to do more then riding elevators…. For hours.
* Always pay for the late checkout.
* Blackmage has the unique ability to sleep on a bed 3 feet long 1 foot wide.
* Even though Link, and crew have defeated a lot of foes they still tremble at the site of a dragon running towards then.
* Request off for AWA a year in advance and always pick up badge on Thursday.
* No matter what you remember from previous years ALWAYS check to make sure you know what night Anime Hell and Midnight Madness happen so you will not miss them :’(
* Free Internet in a hotel rooms is very easy to get. As long as you have a router handy.
* No one ever has RF converters for their consoles.

I learned:

*Never EVER push all the buttons in the elevator.

*Crowded elevators = Death Stank Bomb

*You never get to do everything that you plan to do

*Pocky is addicting

*Bubbles + PO = Happiness

*Hitler Brick is what happens when you have a bored friend

*The main video room is always so crowded you end up with a person or two in your lap

*Anime fans will always cosplay characters completely unsuited to thier body types

*Never eat six giant pixie sticks in a row

*Not all artists are happy to see you
