Electric grills are fine, as long as you get those ceramic flavor briquettes. Steaks cooked with them make for some good eating. I have similar restrictions at my place, grills have to be used like 50 feet away from the building for fire safety. |

This is true, but it depends on what in IT you do. Also, IT is a very popular field up here right now.

That's about right for a nice place here too I think. I'm not sure though. Gaaz, Doot and Una would be able to tell you for sure in their complex. It's a nice one.

Depending on what your major is, you may want to check with GSU. I have a BS in Computer Science from there. It's good stuff. Not only that, but the curriculum is much better now than it was when I was going there. I graduated in '99.
My biggest suggestion... JOB FAIRS! That's how I got on at IBM right out of college. GSU Job Fair.

Thanks for the input. Right now I'm an IT Technician, handling everything from hardware to networking issues and troubleshooting. I deal with our employees a lot, so I have to use my customer service skills. I'm still fairly new to this field though, so I am learning a lot. I don't get to make a lot of decisions about implementation yet.
I should have my MCSA in another couple of months, and I already have my A+ and some other certs. I have over a year of school left though, and still need to get my MCSE and CCNA, so there's a lot of work yet to be done. |

Another way to get a job is to find a company you like and arrange for an informational interview ( http://danenet.wicip.org/jets/jet-9407-p.html ). Statistically these result in a hire 85 - 90% of the time. Good odds!!
And you can hang out with the PO crowd AND get to see a kick ass band at a local venue! What more is there to life then great friends and great music *imho*?!!
