Taking liberty here and uploading some pics of a project that PRG did... cause it's awesome and needs to be displayed.
She and the girls from church get together for enrichment meetings... tonight's theme is something to the effect of putting Christ back in Christmas. They all had to bring in a passable dish... Her original idea was to make pigs in a blanket... Baby Jesus all swaddled up... mustard eyes and smile. As absolutely hilarious the conecept is, it's also kinda creepy... I don't really want to eat baby Jesus. Especially if he's smiling at me. So we brainstormed a lil more and decided on a gingerbread house nativity scene.

Granted, Eeyore wasn't part of the original design, but he just looked too cute in there... so I put him in for the pics.
She opted for the "authentic" scene (i.e. without snow). But you ask, "una? isn't white frosting the essential glue that holds a gingerbread house together?"
Valid point, but you'd be surprised by the adhesive qualities of good old fashioned PEANUT BUTTER! Man, the house smelled of the stuff for days... it was awesome. |

YAY! it was such a fun thing to create! i'm actually going to enter it into the local nativity festival that is next weekend.. the girls at church suggested it (even though it got a little broken going to the party last night).
so una and i plan on fixing it and going to the festival to see all the diverse scenes. it should be really awesome.
i was very surprised though. when una and i came up with the idea i thought that someone on the internet would have done something like this before but i saw very few. most of which were a gingerbread nativity kit that was just flat gingerbread cookie people and animals--lame! give me 3-D!!
