Yes I am being totally nostolgic here. Over the holiday I aquired myself a copy of The Muppet Show Season One. As soon as I started watching I couldn't help but crack a smile at seeing this show again. The humor is still the same as I remember it. Which in other words means I laughed out loud a lot despite the speculation that it may have been dated stuff.
I recommend any and all should try to watch this again, because i'm sure all of you at PO have experienced the muppets in some form. Heck it's still one of the best examples of what quality TV was and should be again. Rise up muppet fans, we need to let the world and Jim Henson know we still love the work he made.

Jim Henson and the Muppets RULE!!
If I could I would love to find the "Jim Henson Presents" episodes! For anybody that hasn't seen this show it was old fairytales as done by the muppets. And, of course, it ruled as well. |

The Muppets have a special part in many of our hearts - I bought my younger sister a Muppet Show Soundtrack - I think she'll like it. |

No unfortunately. I think it was one of the later ones near the last seasons as the muppet show ran to 1980 I believe. |

Muppet Show didn't REALLY hit it off until midway through Season Two.
They got someone extremely famous, and people realized it was something.
You'd have to check dates, or TVTome, to figure out when Mark Hamil appeared...(It's downloadable.) It was probably in return for Yoda being a muppet. |

Granted now that you're engaged you can't use the pillow case I got you like you planned. ^_^
I don't remember watching the Muppet Show when it first aired but TBS used to play it a lot and I remember that. My two most memorable episodes had Mark Hamill in one and the other starred Loretta Swit. The Loretta Swit one was possibly cause I love MASH or because at about that time in my life breasts were "Wicked Awesome" |
