I said the cheeck muscles just below the eyes. Generally someone who puts on a fake smile won't flex those muscles nearly as much as a real smile. To test it, go to the bathroom and look in the mirror. Smile like you would for a camera, then think of something funny (like homestarrunner.com) that would make you laugh. YOu can see the difference in the cheek muscles.

I got a 12/20. The little blurb that comes up after the results is actually really interesting to read. It says something about the skin around the eyes creasing up in a real smile, and if you go back, this happens in the majority of real smiles while it doesn't happen in the fake ones.
Also, did anyone notice that 5/7 of the women pictured had fake smiles, while only 5/13 men pictured had fake smiles? Does that mean that women are more prone to faking smiles??? |
