Graduate school SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!! Professors make us perform the impossible, jump through hoops, take class, and teach at the same time!!! Who do they think we are!!!

Tell me more about these "hoops" of which you speak. How big are they? Are they aflame? How high do you have to jump to get through them? Do you get one of those little trampolines?

For a small fee one of them could have an "accident" as an example to the others. *insert evil laugh*

KH- acutally these hoops are just a little bigger than the person who must jump through them. 98% of the time they're on fire. There is no trampoline to help you jump 10 feet in the air to get through these flaming hoops, and very little space for a running start. AS you can see, it's almost impossible to get through them, unless you are in the circus or a basketball player.

What program, UP? I'm not going to deny anything that you say isn't true, because all of it is, especially the jumping through flaming hoops with little to no running start or trampoline, but now that I've gotten a semester under my belt, this one seems a little easier. Maybe I managed to figure out the secret of VTOL in one semester.

I'm in the dual certification childhood education and special education program at Fordham University. It's a award winning program, with high honors blah blah blah. It's pretty well known nationally among educators. They also do the full time program in one year instead of two, which I'm finding is absolutely INSANE! But i'm getting through it, and May 20, 2006 will be the happiest day of my life!!!!!!!!!!!!! YIPEE!

PS. Exottica, it's not that bad. I just had to go to a crazy ass school. No worries. Good luck

I am *so* glad I dropped out of college back in 2001. Oh, wait...I'm going *back* for a double major CS/Poli.Sci (Pre-Law). Oh God, one day I'll be in Grad School too! Thank you, UP, for instilling in me this abject horror that will haunt me until I the day I receive my MBA/JD!

...and this is exactly why every time I mention I'm an English major and someone asks "Oh, so are you going to be a teacher?" I laugh my arse off. There is -no- way I'd be willing to go through the crap they put people through as far as education goes. It's like having two majors instead of one-- an education major and a major in whatever you're teaching, so you get twice as much work, and end up getting paid nothing near what would make it worthwhile.

You have my respect, but not my envy. ^_-

Kugyou, it's not THAT bad. I just had one of my many school/personal crap breakdowns, mostly from school, but the personal stuff doesn't help much.
My friend is now in law school, and while it seems to be a lot of work she really loves it! Although she too can't wait to graduate, but who can't!
