Finally saw the movie, and have to say that what made this movie great was that it was for the fans. Little was changed from what happened in the comics, Ben Affleck was rather great in the role, his abilities and how he used them were rather believable, the origin was dead on.
Naysayers may say the movie sucked, but that's only because they didn't have a background in the character at all. |

I haven't seen DD yet, but I think I'm going to go sometime soon, right after I go see Gangs of New York, which I have to see for history class. But anyway, DD looks good, even though I really have some loathing for Ben Affleck which I can't fully explain. I think it has something to do with his role in Mallrats. His @$$hole image in that movie may have skewed my opinion of him. But what I do know is whether he's a jerk or not, his counterpart Matt Damon is much cooler. Hopefully he'll play a cool superhero role at some point.

He does a wonderful Matt Murdock, and a great Daredevil. Mostly due to him having that air of swagger and jerk around him. Daredevil in many ways is similar to Batman when in costume, it's just that Matt Murdock has not disappeared to soley be DD, much like Bruce Wayne has |

umm, ming, isnt the movie that ur talking about with him and matt damon Dogma, i mean i havent seen the movie mallrats, but i do know that matt damon and ben affleck are in dogma |

Yes, they are both in Dogma. But that's not what I was talking about. I just meant that when one thinks of Ben Affleck, they usually think of Matt Damon, since they have done so much together, and that when comparing the two in general, I like Matt Damon a lot more. And the only reason that I can find that I don't like about Ben Affleck is that he played a nasty character in Mallrats, which probably skewed my opinion of him. |
