Mythic ressurecting the corpse of Climax-Warhammer

I've been keeping some tabs on the Warhammer MMO since Climax long since scrapped it in 2004. Though Mythic (Famous for it's Dark Ages of Camelot, and prolly one of the more well known MMO makers to make good PvP) seems to be making good use of it's aquirement.

Now right off the bat i'm sure some are gonna give the usual words. I'm looking at you shuri Smile

. Frankly i'd feel the same way too. Though I will say this it is having some interesting points.

-Characters evolve as they grow in power. (i.e. they become bulkier, taller, and more defined.)

-A player can spend their whole career doing nothing but PvP.

-As such PvE quests are by no means necessary, but can affect your enemy army's performance if done.

-All Warhammer races are going to be implimented into the game bit by bit. Who wouldn't wanna be a Skarran sneaking through the sewers I tell ya.

-PvP will most likely be as awesome as DaoC was. Don't ask me how, but it's curious to say the least.

It's still a long way off till release. (2007) Though for what it's worth I guess I find myself a glutton for punishment. You can expect to hear more news as it develops.

Just read that comic myself =) I may kep an eye on tis, I used to play a bit of 40K in the olden days, and have had a fondness for Games Workshop products ever since

Silly Blizzard Fans and their beloved Starcraft Franchise, oh if they only knew the truth. Blizzard was going to make a 40k strategy game, only GW backed out of it or something of the like...so blizzard went ahead and modified their game TO MAKE IT COMPLETELY DIFFERENT FROM 40k! You know because the races aren't exactly the same! Aesthetics man! Aesthetics! They ~look~ different!

I'm sure some would, they just don't wanna admit the truth.

Hehe new feature I giggle at. Immigration, don't like the way the war with your country is turning out, well just hop on over to another territory and fight their war instead. Cause let's face it, just because races have alliances doesn't mean those sides still particularly like each other. Self or otherwise.

Of course I can't wait for the ever approaching WAAAAAAUUUUUUGGGGHHH!!! Battle cries.

I do believe this MMO will cause me to convert from my long following of WoW. Unfortunatly for me, i love PvP, but i suck at it -.-
