This movie scared the crap outta me. definately pretty good. I went into a fit in the scene in the corn field with the foot. I was ready to start crying... but then again im a pansy with horror movies like that. The style of it was very hitchcock, which is good, those are the only scary movies. |

I thought that this was a great movie. Really well done. As far as I'm concerned, though, it's less of a horror movie and more of a movie about the Mel Gibson character rediscovering his faith. I think the aliens are incidental. They enter to movie early on to force the characters into situations where they have to face their own fears, especially the Mel Gibson character. The best way I can put it is this: There are horror movies, great horror movies and then there are great movies that happen to be horror movies. This one is the last kind.

I need to see The Ring.
And as for Signs, Sperrit's right, I think. All I know is that Signs is a movie with underlying themes and messages, such as "Everything happens for a reason." I love these kinds of movies because they can be enjoyed on a multitude of different levels. |

Well I saw the movie in theaters and when it came out I had to buy it. I loved the movie. It was very well done and that part where the alien walks in front of the house with the bunch of children was creepyyyyy...
I swear, after I saw it in theaters I was kinda paranoic, since I live in an area in front of a highway and all this houses are so far apart and theres not alot of ppl here.
I was hanging out outside my balcony, one of those boring nights and I looked at this palm tree and I swear I saw a guy walking behind it. It was the breeze moving the palm tree but since night breeze is not very often, and I was in a paranoic state, it scared the shaitza outta meh... eep...
Love the movie though |

I couldn't agree with you more, Ming. You'll love this movie. It's enjoyable on a number of different levels with a lot of sublty. It's great.
I also consider M. Knight to be the next Hitchcock. DAMN he's GOOD! I mean, come on: 6th Sense, Unbreakable, Signs. All FABULOUS movies and he wrote, directed and acted in ALL of them! The guy's AWSOME!

I really like this movie because around every turn there was an alien's head or hand or something like that.
One of the freakiest parts was the part when the kid with asthma was in front of the coal shoot, then the alien grabbed him.
