Favorite Gaming Type Poll! - Cause it had to happen eventually...

Alright everyone! You know it had to happen at one time or another. What's your favorite gaming type? Final Fantasys versus Basketball games, Mortal Combat versus Zelda, Ice Climbers versus Half Life? What's it gonna be? And if you can't decide, that's alright. Heck, I don't know if I could choose! And if I've left out your favorite gaming type... uh... then you can yell at me and beat me over the head and make me hump boxes! I don't know! I'm sure something diabolical will happen.
And, so it's fair, I'd say that my fav would have to be RPGs, just cause I love that type's ability to explore character motivation and have an intracate, charcater driven plot. Plus, I'm a training fiend! Ha!
Anyway, let's hear what you think!

I love an action RPG as well.

Whether it be an RPG with some action elements like jumping (Xenogears)

..or an RPG with everything realtime except the attacks, items, and magic (Vagrant Story)

..or an RPG with everything in realtime (Kingdom Hearts)

..or an Action game with RPG elements of varying degrees (Legend of Zelda games, the newer Castlevania games, and all Metroid games.)

Another of my absolute fave genre would be the rhythm/music games, which sadly wasn't included :hell:

Some awesome games in that catagory include: Dance Dance Revolution (or any Bemani game), Gitaroo Man, PaRappa the Rapper, Um Jammer Lammy, Frequency, Bust a Groove, etc..

I really don't have a favorite type...I just know that I hate sports games, except racers

RPG! And some fighting and a little puzzle games (i.e. Bust a move, Toy Shop, cutsie little games). But I loooooooooooooooooooooooooooove FF7.

No matter what, I have been lovin it since -counts- it first came out in October of 1997! 5 year anniversery baby! -dances- Oo ooa! Oo ooa! I am currently finishing up a picture of Seph, Tifa, Cloud, and Aerith. It is sooooo cool so far.

I voted for RPGs, only because it *is* my favorite Genre, but the truth is, I was originally an FPS (First Person Shooter) Maniac. Ever since my cousin introduced me to a little game called Wolfenstien on her father's PC back in 1993...I was hooked. Bought my first IBM-compatible after that, bought Doom, and the downward spiral began.

A lot of my RPG-playing friends are often shocked to catch me playing Unreal Tournament or Medal of Honor. Maybe thats why I played a Ranger in PSO.

Best 5 RPGs of all time: (IMHO)

1: Daggerfall
2: Fallout
3: Panzer Dragoon Saga
4: Lunar (Either one)
5: Wizardry 8

Though I do have to agree with Reverend somewhat....pinball is the greatest. Ever play Theatre of Magic? Was out in the arcades around 93-94.
