Superman Returns

Im not big on super man history, Im a casual guy and I know a about as much about the big S as anyone else, so for the casual fan, I really loved it. Just like everyone else is saying though, the movie didnt have to be that long, it was forced filling, but as a whole It was very enjoyable.

What I disliked was how Superman apparently can over come his kyponite weakness for no reason. He lifted up a freakn island of kryponite and launched it into outerspace - only going into a short coma before recovering to full power, not to mention Lex stabbitied him with a freak pure kryponite dagger. I just woudl have liked to have seen some otther solution to the end rather than "even kyptonite in ridiculous quantities cant kill Superman."

Well to be fare this was more a Golden Age Superman in that he is actually Godlike and Green Kryptonite just kinda makes him really sick.

Red Kryptonite wouldAlmost kill him but not quite.

The NEWER Superman is a bit weaker in that Green Kryptonite makes him sick and takes all his powers away...Red kryptonite is a death sentence.

But he did absorb sun-light before lifting the island so that was cool.

Also Frank Millers version of Superman can draw power from the sun AND anything associated with it...So when he entered earths magma layer he pulled a Captain Planet.
