I dunno...Heaven and Hell? That sounds cool.
At any rate, I just started playing DMC2 today. I've had it for like 2 weeks, but unfortunately I haven't gotten to play it because I've been too busy with school.
All I can say is...wow. The game looks great, and so far the story line seems cool enough. And I LOVE how there are two discs, one for each character, and you basically get two games. It's just like Resident Evil 2, which was crazy because it wad actually 2 games.
The only complaint that I have about DMC2 is that the changed the controls around slightly from the original. I liked the fact that you couldn't shoot the guns unless you pressed R1 to pull them out (except in Easy Auto mode). I assume that I just need to get used to them. |

well, Ming finally brought home the PS2, and i can finally compare DMC to DMC2...but to first answer breezes question:
Yes, you can unlock sparda, after you beat the hard mode, you should get him in the character select screen
i needs to play the game some more before, and i need to check out the second character, but all i have to say is this:
The Devil Trigger system is soooo cooooolllll!!'
that is all |

beat hard mode...ha...haha....
I never got past mission 4 on hard mode. The shadows in the corridor kick the crap out of me, and if I run past them and use the lion's pride, the death scissors slices me into little tiny pieces. I have no health left, my devil trigger keeps running out, and the items cost so many orbs that I can't afford to buy ANYTHING useful. In short: I'm screwed every time.
Maybe one day I'll try it again... |

Breez, probably the best thing you can do is avoid the shadows in that corridor, cause it is hard enough to fight one of them in an open area, and even harder to fight 3 of them in the friggen hallway. as for the deat sissors, dont worry about him, just read the description of the pain in the ass, and utilize that. From what i remember of the asshole, he was easy to hit, and hopefully, you will have Air hike, which will make it easier for when he does the diving thingie. Thats all the insight i can give on the little bugger. I never got passed that, cause i accidentally saved over it with an easy auto game that i felt like decimating. And breez, did you ever get the Bangle of Time? That can help somewhat when fighting the pain in the arse death sissors |

ahh, in the mission where you have to get hte heart pumping, when you actually do get it pumping, if you go to the room that you start off in, and go around towards the back of the room, you will eventually find a secret door, that enters you into a secret mission. Its a doosy of a secret mission, which is why i recommend that you do it on normal, but it helps in the hard difficulty.
What the bangle of time does, is removes your devil changing abilities, but gives you an edge...it stops time. This means that you can now attack enemies while time is frozen, and then unfreeze time to make them take uber damage. Only problem is that it costs devil triggers to freeze time...so use it wisely. Also, it doesnt work on bosses. i tried, but it failed, though it helps when fighting angry little assholes like death sissors/scythes. This also means that you can activate the devil trigger and even freeze shadows, so that hallway problem is somewhat negated |
