Please, ask Hoth about the "Tractor Of Suck" He'll tell you about my very first car. A 1993 Izusu Amigo. I love that car. But it was controlled by demons. The rain leaked into it, it was gross and moldy, the emergency brake, the air conditioner, the heater, and the oxygen sensor stopped working.
What do you do in a situation like this?
Upgrade of course!

I do miss my old car a bit, but I think I'll get by.

Glad you have a more reliably safe vehicle.
I myself hate cars because it's like digging a well and throwing money into it...Sure they run and get you places but seriously...They cost way too much to keep working.  |

YaY! What a nice, shiney new car!
I finally bought a new one myself last month. But do you have the same problem I'm having...adjusting to driving something new?
I feel like I'm driving a tank, but just this weekend somebody parked next to me w/ a close match to my old car and there was hardly any difference in length...yet I've clocked both ends of my new car within the first month!...ok, just scuffed, but it still left a mark...  |

Well, if I lived in the city where I could get places through public transportation, I probably wouldn't own a car...But, I live in Podunk, and it's 45 minutes to the nearest Wal-mart, and about an hour drive to school and work, so I pretty much have to drive. (I could ride the bus to school, but that takes two hours every day, so, unless I want to get up at 4:00 or so, that's pretty much out.) So, I'm just happy to have a car that won't put me on the side of the road. I bought (Well, actually my grandparents bought) the kia for about 6,000 dollars used and the only problem I've had is that I've had to replace the brake pads. But, for a car that nice for that cheap, a 40 dollar investment was no big deal. |

And I live in an area where public trans is great and inexpensive, but oh god I can't do it!! After someone vomitted in front of me I decided I needed a car that second! It was that gross. |

Portland has really awesome public transportation; it's also a great place for bikers (and all of the public trans. accomodates bikes), but like you Undie sometimes I just can't stand the trains because of gross things, or weird people o_o and then the buses have an unnervingly high rate of smelling like piss o___o |
