It did. Wolfenstein 3-D happened before Doom, but in my own view (which comes into gaming about Doom or so, so maybe I'm biased), Doom's graphics made the FPS revolution go. |

56) The Longest Journey - PC
One of the best storylines ever told in a video game with some of the most interesting characters ever created. I loved every second of the game. |

That being said, I'd like to stick it's sequel in the list too.
55) Dreamfall: The Longest Journey (PC or XBox)
Will get you hooked with it's story and characters withing minutes of starting it, and the only game known to actually give me the creeps (note: not actually scare me, that would be the Resident Evil series) |
