Though don't let the quickenings fool you, eventually you get to that one boss that will take any quickening you throw at him, and still live with plenty ofl ife to spare. |

I've only used a quickening once and I had no idea what the hell to do with it. So it said 'time out!' and I was left unimpressed. But I just whooped Ghis' @$$ with ease and had to stop again. Band business beckons so I'm off! |

I'm fighting Ghis right now! LOL. The Quickenings are more impressive when you get more than one. Which is why I gotta grind out some LP points, which means high chains and more loot, so I'm happy with it.

Quickening is tricky at first but once you get used to it you'll be amazed.
It starts with the move, and you see the three chars you have and their moves, as well as the button to press to activate it. Now if per se there is none highlighted, you just press R2 to shuffle them like a slot machine, and you keep trying that till a move is highlighted and you use it, it keeps going like that till your time runs out, and the damage buils up extremely.
Very handy for when fighting bosses or wanting to clear a big group fast. |

im about 10 hours into the game. Im enjoying it...although i play like a DiabloII player and i horde all of my LP points for when i find certain items or when i decide how i wanna level a character...so all of my characters are pretty simple in their attacks/magics, as well as leaving me to fight bosses with just my ordinary resources.
I think i've got built up like, 100 or 150 LP right now for each character right now. Kind of silly, i must say. |

Oooo youve made me hungry for this game now.
Terin did you like FF-X2? I have it now and have the strat. guide from a friend of mine because I figure I might as well get 100%. So far I have mixed feelings... it seems harder than FFX which is a good thing.
Reason i bring it up is 'cuz it seems like an attempt at nonlinearity. |

I wasn't a huge fan of FFX, so I played X-2 for a few hours then took it back.

You know when I first started in to FFX2 I was like "Great! Final Fantasy Fashion Fighters! Just what the catwalk needed." But then I got into it and LOVED playing it. |

It's because the Dresspheres are job crystals. Which usually helps the gameplay, because you're not stuck switching party members in and out, and you can build experience on everyone by finding the appropriate combo of death. |
