National Lampoon's Van Wilder: The Rise of Taj follows Van's pupil as he goes to england to study at a new university. This movie looks better than the first. Unfortunately from what I've seen in the trailer, Ryan Reynolds doesn't make an appearance, but a cameo is definitely not out of the picture. Check the trailer out here

I see them using a lot of the same jokes as the first Van Wilder. It will be funny, no doubt, but how original can it be? I fear they will just try to recreate all of the Van Wilder scenes with a slightly different twist. Basically making the same movie only a little differen't and putting it in a differen't box.
I hope for the best, but I fear the worst. |

I'm sorry to say Kudasai that your fears were real. This, like so many other sequels, seemed to try and play off of the hype of the first movie. It made me sad a little.....
If you want to see a good college movie, Accepted is what you are looking for. |
