I'm intrigued. Mainly because the thought of the control slipping out of someone's hand during gameplay never even occurred to me until I went to that website. I agree with Graillick though, with all the sales of these things, it's BOUND to happen eventually. Whether alcohol is involved or not, sometimes you just lose control of what's in your hand. I would say that my manual dexterity is pretty high, and there are times when I just randomly drop what I'm holding. And while rare, I'm SURE that there are instances of tennis rackets and golf clubs slipping out of peoples' hands inadvertently. I think Terin makes a good point, and I'm definitely going to invest in grip sleeves when Tobs and I finally get our hands on a Wii.

I'm with Terin. I've got those sleeves on both my Wiimotes.

It'll be interesting to see if this sort of thing repeats itself over here. I've notheard of any reports of it happening in Japan just yet, maybe its just a handful of morons that have infected your country that are making you all look idiotic and hamfisted.

Sorry for the double post but I wanted this seen and didn't wanna 'bump' it. Here's the new (and improved) Wii wrist strap. Apparantly Ninthis is the one Nin is sending out to people who have snapped theirs. No official word on when/if it'll become the standard and replace the thinner one.

Update also. I did see an article yesterday (forgot to post) that Nintendo's Prez said they are deep into research to look into correcting these issues. simply put he stated "We didn't expect them to get this excited about playing" Smile

As an additional word of advice: Since I do have sleeves on all three wiimotes I have made it a rule that when playing you have to wear BOTH straps. Just figured that might help so I didn't bother replacing the original, I just added to it.

Oh, and we have to move the glass living room table out of the way BEFOREhand.

I need a bit of clarifying being as I don't have a Wii yet. How hard do you actually have to swing the thing to make the game work? My guess is, not very hard. Which leads to the follow up, why are people swinging it so hard?

Although I could be wrong...
