I'm used to sushi bars using Rice Krispies in their tempura recipes... but this is the first time tonight that I actually see a chef using Christmas Rice Krispies.  |

Yeah, doesn't surprise me. Crusing up something like Rice Crispies or Corn Flakes makes a good breading for deep frying. |

If you take crushed up rice crispies or corn flakes (seasoned with some cinnamon and sugar), make a nice thick crust around a really well-frozen scoop of ice cream, and toss it in a deep fryer, you can make some really slammin' deep-fried ice cream. |
