After looking over that list again, I noticed that Frank Miller is pretty much absent, considering that both Sin City 2 and 300 are both slated to come out in 2007. I would think that those would be two HUGE movies also. Oh well...
And after doing some research on the movie Priest (I am an avid fan of the manga), I think they're really going to mess it up. The early speculation about the plot has the main character, Ivan Isaacs, hunting down vampires, which is nothing like the actual comics. But oh well...maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised. |

Gryph - thank you for reminding me they were remaking the Hitcher. DEATH TO THEM ALL! I swear - what was so wrong with the original!? It kicked ass!

The reason he's not on that list is because they had a feature on Frank Miller in the same issue. It covers both of those movies. It's the same reason Spiderman 3, and Transformers aren't on there.
Oh yeah, one last tidbit of info I forgot to mention earlier. You guys are gonna love this.
There's going to be a new Spawn movie. This time however, it will be both written and directed by Tod McFarlane. I can't wait to see what kind of disaster this turns out to be. Here's the reason I say this. He's completely ruined the few good points the comic had.
From what I gather, here's where the book as at the moment. The current story arc is The Rapture. God has taken the believers, and everyone else has been killed by the four horsemen. Earth is pretty much completely empty now. Spawn is apparently more powerful than both God and Satan and is trying to stop the end of the world. He killed all four horsemen in a matter of moments, and there's supposedly some other bigger baddie he's got to fight or something.
I just can't comprehend the utter retardation that would make somebody want to write something that crappy. Where can you possibly go from there? I'm expecting some sort of moronic "universal reset" that sets the comic back towards the beginning of the series.
The guy can't save the comic book. What makes him think he can save the movie? |
