This is not a review of the game so don't look for that. I just have to say this tho, after playing it for three hours yesterday, I am blown away. There is no way in Hell you can even imagine all the ways that the remotes works. There is nothing on the market console-wise that comes anywhere close. The remote senses left and right, up and down. Simple. It also senses back and forward tho, giving it a full 360 degrees of motion thru all three planes. However, the microgame that shocked me was this simple "Keep The Beat" one. You lay the remote on your palm and there are notes bouncing on the screen. As they hop onto your hand onscreen (holding something like a clamshell) you have to catch them, I guess. I played this one like ten times and never figured out what to do. I then saw in the gallery that you have to, get this, clap the remote with your off hand like you're closing the clamshell. This was incredible to me for one reason, the damn remote doesn't even move! All the time I was failing I was doing everything short of throwing the damn remote thru the walls. I popped it up, lifted it, shook it, and nothing happened. I don't mean I missed the notes, nothing freakin' happened! Then I just tapped the face and it caught the notes.
After you beat the game, look back at all of the Forms and ways that they utilized the motion sensing in the remote and it will amaze you. The PS3 SIXAXIS is nothing more than a catchphrase tech demo. The Wii-mote is truly the future of gaming interactivity. I feel the only true flaw to it is the lack of buttons. We've become accustomed to having 9 million buttons and even tho the Wii-mote does have enough buttons to handle most everything, they are oddly (poorly?) placed for mainstream gaming. I hope by it's third year Nin allows companies to just use the Classic Controller and push more standardized games. I can't imagine playing all of my driving games with the Wii-mote or going thru some 100 hour RPG with it either.
And if I have to "throw my Pokeball" at every Pokemon I want to capture, I'll scream. As a side note to that, Midway has already gone that route as they have controller configs in MK Armageddon to use the Classic Controller in place of the Wii-mote for more traditional gamers so it is readily available. |

I've played it for a little bit and it is one of the funniest and most fun games ever. I love the control and it really shows off what the Wii can and will do. |

My friend Charles bought this and brought it over. HO my god, it is so much fun! When I first read about the game I wasn't too excited--"How is answering a telephone supposed to be fun?" (in one of the mini-games, you answer a telephone. That's it. ) But I was wrong. |

I bought it over the weekend and I was very very happy with it. Rollergirl, Hoth, my friend Joe and I played some multiplayer yesterday and it was a lot of fun. We like the one where you're running a lot b/c it's very different. Mainly b/c anyone can win. When you are done with the "race" you're all held by ropes... even if you came in last in the race, you can still win the game. Happened twice last night.
We did notice that it's a bit messed up with one of the games. The sword fighting boss battle, didn't work right left handed (For RG).
Of course, now that I think about it, she could have been holding the controller wrong... but I don't think she was. |

The only one I noticed that always had a bad/delayed reaction was the minigame where you have to hand out fliers to people. I missed that one like 4 times straight until I just started flinging like mad and got lucky.
I love that Tower game tho, the one like Breakout. I think they could have done better multiplayer tho. Somehow incorporating all 200 Microgames would have been hectic but cool. |

I didn't have problems with any of the mini-games, except for the one where you shuffle the papers. I could never quite get that one |

Yeah... that one is weird. If you tilt the Wiimote one way, it messes them up more, if you tilt it the other, it fixes them. Odd.
Also, am I the only one that can't help cracking up when it comes to the form descriptions. Handlebar had to be my fav.

I love it. The Samurai is my favorite. I love those games. The Waiter form screws me up the most though. DAMN YOU BROOM! |
