I just checked my email but it came in last night between 6pm and 9pm, Mountain time. Now if we can only get the Wii Anime Channel going... |

I left for training for a week before I got ot see it in action. This is was one of my most anticipated Wiii channels. I like to get the daily paper, but If I can bookmark my funnies on the internet with Opera and read the news on the news channel...I think my paper s becoming outdated ^^
Tell me how it is razer, I wont get ot see my Wii for a while. |

Slick interface... I really dig the way that when you resize text, it will shift the words and realign them. Highlighting is a nifty feature too.
Now, maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see any way to put in our own feeds. If we can't and we're stuck with what AP delivers us... well, a big F'n BOOO and two thumbs down goes to the whole thing. |

Well Una, I think if you want to put in your own feed then you'd just go to the Internet Channel and check the site you want. You gotta remember, Nin doesn't run the site/channel, it's sponsored (probably by AP) like the weather map globe is actually owned by NASA. They are just granting us access. I would have liked a combination of AP/USA Today but then I could hear me saying "Why don't they add The Sporting News and Sports Illustrated and TV Guide and...". I personally hope they add the one thing that is truly missing...daily comics. What newspaper doesn't have comics?
Oh Dai, I am rating it a big due to the newest little trick I found. If you go into a story you want to read, you'll see a section of the map on the right that tells you where the story bases in. That's cute but if you click on that map it changes to a fullscreen map of the US (you have to scroll to see the whole map) and you can click on individual cities to bring up a listing of local news for that area. So you can start looking in the Sports section but then click on your city and get a rundown of all the local stories (Tech news, Entertainment, etc). That's cool. |

Sounds like a winner. Nin-T is so smart, they make everything so cute, concise, and manageable. This local news feature intrigues me. As for comics, Hare, most of your dailies are available on the net just like they are in the paper. A lot of them go under the site United Media, for easy one clikc bookmarking ^^ |

Well, sure... I can just go to the internet channel and check feeds there... Like the AP RSS feed.
I really don't think that AP is doing Nintendo any favors... More like the other way around. Their news is already free and available in an RSS feed. Which is, essentially what the News Channel is... an RSS reader.... with a really pretty interface.
The point is that Nintendo gave us an HD TV that can only tune into channel 15. |
