Some of us would say that a Linux switch should be in the cards for most Windows users that don't like the DRM or the horrible Vista-ness. That said, most of them will probably go get Macs. |

Oh yeah, GAAZ, I just remembered something--all new Macs now duel-load Windows and Mac OS. So that solves that problem. =P |
Wait, what? Doesn't that mean that you'll get the same Big Brother crap that comes with Windows (the hypothetical reason one would switch to MAC) anyway?

That is actually true...if you use windows, you are running risks. Although, the only reason why they have that feature is so that if you ever need to run windows, you can--it's not designed to run it constantly. Just to keep you from missing out on software that you might need.
Although, another really really good reason to make the switch over is that all of the hardware is fully integrated. A very very very nice feature. |

Vista DRM kills everything good about Vista for me. Mac hardware (Not the software, I love Mac OS) kills Macs for me.
My next desktop will be running Ubuntu Linux, no questions asked.

Meh, XP is still working fine for me. I'll prolly switch to Vista in a few years, after M$ works out the bugs. Linux would be fine if I cared that much about open-source OS's, but I just don't. It's not my bag. Mac's are cute and trendy, but I wouldn't know the first thing about upgrading one, or even if you can without taking it to a Mac specialist. I guess the way Linux/Unix fans like having control over the OS, I like having contorl over the hardware. Overall, PC's are the standard, and I'll stick with them and Windows til the majority of software compatability says otherwise. It's the same with gaming consoles. The reason the PS2 was the best system of it's generation wasn't because of the hardware, but the selection of software that was released for it. Simple as that.
