awesome! My brother just got me hooked on this game a week ago and I thought to check and see if anyone on PO was into the game! He and I both play in virtue(he claims it seems to be one of the better servers as far as other players go^.^)...he has city of villains, I know his main villian is Seven, and he's actually been mentioned and talked about by some of the bigger names in the game(like people who have actually been added to the comic books...
since I just started Im on city of Heroes, my main hero's name is Love anne Peace.....if I see any of you guys I'll have to give you a shout out^.^

Aw man, I miss COH/COV - Virtue was my main server - had a max lvl NRG/NRG blaster and a EAR/FIR tank and tons of 30's. Too bad they "balanced" it for PVP play.
I saw they just added wings too. May have to redo my account later when i get some free time. |

The rebalancing when CoV came out was harsh, true. Things have been going in the direction of making everyone more powerful (equally so this time), so things are getting close to fun again.
Depending on when you left, you may not notice too much of a difference in power anymore, though the way powers work is pretty much all different. A lot of animation changes, AoE buffs don't root a player casting them anymore.
Still no permanent Hasten, (though Hasten is still crazy useful). Jump Kick is now on par with Air Superority (yay!), Controllers can big red numbers happen now. Psichic Blast can pwnz now (and Psi using mobs know it). Veteran Awards are hawt (permanent Undead Slaying Axe makes Spectrals cry). Defence was reciently re-scaled for mobs, so attacks can hit and defence can defend in PvE (praise Mod!). |

I quit right after the whole - Ok fire tanks, you have the worst defense of the bunch but we will compensate but giving you and aura that does ok damage to surrounding mobs and a power that lets you drop a small burning circle around you....but makes every one run away from you thus rendering your powers useless.
What fun that was.
Yeah i really miss COH - i had some kickass characters too. *sad* Oh well, maybe one of these days I'll go back to Paragon City for some butt kickage. |

They've made some major changes lately. For instance, Faultline is no longer a danger zone. It's been turned into a city zone.
Then there's Recluse's Victory, the new PvP zone. It's an alternate reality future version of Atlas Park. You have to capture parts of the city to transform it into either a "good" or "evil" area. Four npc heroes and villains, including Statesman and Recluse, are on the map to fight with and against you. And lastly, there's the giant battle mechs. Whoever reaches one first gets to command it. It's the last PvP area, so I'm not high enough for it yet. It's for lvl 50's. |
