The Pokemon games are kinda how you make them, If you just one or two pokemon and train them exclusivly, then yeah, the game takes on an easier undertone. But the spirit of the game is spending them time out there, getting into random battles looking for rare pokemon, and leveling up different ones, with different types/combonations and what not.
I felt the card game was shallow over all, but it was entertaining for a bit. It was well designed for its age category I felt like. Like Ming, Im too spoiled by Magic to get into other card games that much.
Ive been a fan of Pokemon since before It was popular, since I picked up red when I heard it was the hotness in japan when I was in 6th grade. I played through Red and Ruby since then, and Im grabbing up Emerald later today ironically. Ive got my reserve for Pearl and I cant wait to FINALLY be able to play pokemon over the FREAKIN internet.
