Started off with an early morning trip to do some maintenence on the Appalacian Trail, then off to Asheville, NC to drop some things off and head to my normal stay on the weekends in the Western NC mountains.
Little did I know that later that night an explorer carrying a young boy (driving) his father, two pregnant women and a kid would cause our car at 45 mph to t-bone it.
Airbags deployed, smoke ensued and every ran outta the vehicle. In the initial hit, the driver airbag cutt and burned annas dad's arm and smacked him clean in the face. The other airbag hit her mom in the chest (after a trip to the hospital and ambulence here bones are fine, just brused) and we all vacated the car.
From there it was a 2 hour trip from cop car to cop car from scene to hospital, to station to county car to state line to county car home.
In the end, everyone is okay.

Well I am definitely glad you all are alright - even the folks in the other car. Accidents are never fun and t-bones are even scarier.

Yup.. the police report is very simple. Driver one stated he didn't see driver 2 and driver 2 stated he ran into driver one.
Insurance will handle it all. I thought about trading my car in for a turbo'd manual volvo today
