@ming=some oils/fats are good for you I think...and I beleive peanuts are of the health variety
well...I havn't been able to talk to my sister again and like I said, I can't really talk to Jessie about it since I don't have a way of contacting her as easily. I sent all the info you guys sent to my sis so hopefully if Jessie doesn't already know about the websites she'll appreciate it.
And when I said light food, I mean light meals throughout the day, not just snacking things^.^ At the people who suggested she eat more often, that's also what I meant..she eats all day long...I'm terrible at wording^.^
As for the processed pastas with dairy..well..I have no clue about this stuff but maybe, scrums, you could recomend a few brands you use? |

Well, we don't really have a -particular- brand that's good for everything. But, believe it or not, store brands are more likely to be vegan (because they're cheaper, I suppose). So we usually just get the store brand wheat pasta =) When we lived next to a Safeway, we would always get their "O" organics brand.
I asked Max about the likelihood of pastas being vegan, and his response was "*shrug* some pastas are vegan, some aren't. No one knows why, there doesn't seem to be any logic or reasoning behind it. Just read the package, the ingredients list. Same with bread."
So, there's your answer ! |

Some of the many different kinds of edible vegetable oils include: palm oil, olive oil, soybean oil, canola oil, corn oil, sunflower oil, safflower oil, peanut oil, grape seed oil, sesame oil, argan oil and rice bran oil. Many other kinds of vegetable oils are also used for cooking. |

We know that The question was about dairy, not eggs, and if the food comes in contact with dairy during processing they are required to say so below the ingredients along with allergen information. |

Just remember one thing....you need meat in your diet, or you have to offset it with some type of med if you don't. Omega-3 fatty acids can not be gotten out of nuts alone, also you would have to consume massive amounts of almonds and fennel seeds to get enough. My advice to you if are really doing this for your health, cut all pork and fatty red meat...even if steak is great souce of all kinds of good things. Chicken can be cooked in less than 10 minutes if left in the fridge the night before to thaw and there are some great healthy recipes of it. White fish is excellent as well as red. And green leafies and carrots are great sources of all kinds of good cleansers. Just be sure ton constanly rotate your digestions.
Oh....and the big killer...stop drinking soft drinks if you haven't already...or corn chips, anything lays makes, hostess cakes, anything that tastes remotely good. I'm not joking. The hydrogenated oils and other additives in those kinds of things is the number one killer of rats in labs now, next to the cancer.
Also I've done that 300 workout...and it is a killer. The trick is to just keep moving...and not stop. This is not condusive to size building but lean muscle tissue. Also the reason the workout is so good is that it either used large muscle groups in conjunction ( like the dead lift, which should be replaced with a hang clean) or used the body as the weight which has been proven the most evective tool (not free weights). Dips, Push ups, pull up (done correctly, if you can't pull yourself up without swinging or you can't get your hands to your chest, stop, your not doing anything) box jumbs, anything involving a swiss ball, medicine ball, dip machine shrugs, squats, one legged squats, anthying with a cable machine, row machine, and my personal favorites, and I know it goes against what I said but there really is no other way to do these, normal and reverse dumbell flies, and lat pulls, god they are so good.
Number 2 thing...run...runl like your life depended on it. Find a trail and hall ass, don't jog, jogging is for grandmothers, pick a spot out infront of you and book it, then jog till your heart rate returns to your job pace, and hit it again.
The true key here is train your body as though the 1500 years of technoligical evolution didn't happen. Think of how you would need to survive in the wild and try to figure out exercises that mimic it. Like rock climbing, find a place with a repel wall and go twice a week, you won't be sorry. Also, pick up a men's or women's health. I've been getting that magazine for almost 3 years now, and all in all it's great.
Anything else I can just spurt off, let me know.
Dueces...
P.S. flex and stretch...always stretch.
Congrats on going to the dark side, now I'm gonna go eat a meat milkshake.
Dueces. |
