I must confess, I was previously a fan of pokemon games as a youngster, but as I've gotten older, its just...meh I guess, but, if new generations of kids are enjoying it, power to them. |

I think it's great. I remember that way back when, everybody said it was a fad. Now here we are, ten years later, and it's still insanely popular. From what I here, the new games are supposed to be awesome. Isn't there some sort of voice command control system, or voice chat? |

Yeah, it's voice chat. Actually you can use the game as a cheap Voice-Over IP phone, just talk away instead of playing.
I have loved the series since I first saw the cards ten years ago and consider it one of the best overall game series out. It may be targetting younger gamers but it's only as childish as you make it. I was explaining it to my girlfriend (who is so hooked she takes it to work with her) and she's amazed how deep it is. Most of the "childish" comments come from people who've never played it (not talking about you, Robb). Kinda like saying Disney or Betty Boop are childish and look how much those franchises sell to adults. |

Only thing I didn't like was that there weren't more new pokemon. I was hoping that all the Pokemon were going to be brand new. But the game is still great. Here's hoping the next version will have my dream Pokemon. (Dreiknight will live someday...) |
