Well overall hands down IMO 3 is the best but as far as the 3D ones go I think OoT is better just becuase to me the game was just more fun. I only put OoT down to go to work and school when it came out. TP didn't quite do that for me, it was fun, but I mean I've played it maybe 5 or 6 hours so far. The dungeon design was a lot more fun to figure puzzles and such in OoT and since then for the most part those puzzles have just been reused over and over and some are even seen in TP. And the Water Temple, just so much more fun on OoT especially playing around with the grappling hook all over the place. |

I prefer the Zelda's that don't bore the balls off me.
IE the non-lifelike 3D ones.
But yeah, Linkt to the Past was the best one and spawned so many awesome portable Zeldas in the same style.
Much like SOTN spawned forther the awesome portable Castlevania series' |

I adored Ocarina of Time, well right up until the Water Temple, and I adored Wind Waker, right up to the moment you have to find all the bloody Triforce shards, so on the back of those two I bought Twilight Princess on Gamecube as I couldnt afford a Wii.
My impressions of TP were good to begin with (clicky) as that review shows, I'd played about 25 hours of the game by that point, I've now played about 35-40 hours and the whole experience is incredibly stale, the story still seems none existant, the last landmark thing that happened was being told about the Twilight Mirror being broken up or something along those lines and I've lost interest in it completely. It's definetly the weakest of the 3D Zelda's that I've played (not played enough of Majora's Mask to comment). |

I really loved OoT back in the day. But I don't think it compares to TP. Yes, they reused some of the puzzles from OoT, but that happened maybe once or twice, not to mention OoT recycled a lot of ideas from LttP. Zelda games sometimes reuse ideas form other Zelda games, that's a fact. But the storyline in OoT was horribly weak, it's unfair to compare the graphics because they're from two different eras but if you do, TP graphics were much more detailed and realistic. OoT was also incredibly easy.
As for the Water Temple, it was my favorite dungeon in both games. Although the boss from TP was much more challenging, I thought, not to mention epic. I think that's my favorite Zelda dungeon boss, period.
I also think Windwaker was a better game than OoT. I think they keep making them better and better, and I still really like OoT but after playing it again, I find it hard to believe that people like it more than WW or TP. |

I'm with Scrummy here. I LOVED the water temple though it did cost me a weeks wages of dollars in the swear jar. I haven't played TP (for my bunghole, or Gamecube) but I am really looking forward to it.
I was a huge fan of OOT and even four swords was really fun for a while. I would have played 4S more but I was under the impression it was a multiplayer game without the portable. When I found out how Nintendo had that scam worked out I refused to play it any further. The same goes for FF Crytsal Chronicles but it's a FF so i at least got to the last level before it annoyed the EVER-LOVIN' BEJEEZUS out of me!

LMAO XDD Well, I took to the Water Temple in a very organized way, keeping notes and making drawings and what. Also, in Zelda games, I go through areas in a very thorough and organized fashion (almost mechanical), which probably helped. I think I got through it in 3 days. And then spent a week playing with the longshot. XD |

Ahhh, the dreaded Water Temple. I played it for a while until I got stuck, then left and did 2 other Temples (Shadow and something else) before I went back and finished it. From what I remember I didn't have too much trouble, but I remember getting stuck for a while and not knowing where to go...until I finally figured out that there was a hole you were supposed to jump down BEHIND the damn treaure chest. Once I found that it was smooth sailing. |
