I gotta say I'm enjoying NGS right now.
I got to the first Rachel Mission and MAN is she a powerhouse. She's slower than Ryu, but MUCH stronger.
The black ninjas that jump out in the Imperial City that you face 3 at a time with Ryu come in waves when you are playing Rachel. Her warhammer is just unbelievable.
Anyway, just a few more days and we'll get to hear about whether or not the price will OFFICALLY drop.

Confirming Internet reports from late last week, Sony Computer Entertainment America has officially confirmed the company will be dropping the price of the 60GB PlayStation 3 SKU to $499, effective Tuesday. Additionally, Sony will be introducing an 80GB SKU in August for $599 bundled with a copy of MotorStorm.
So far, the price drop is only for North America. Stay tuned for more details as E3 begins next week. |

Yeah thats great news for you guys, word is that Europe will still have its current price tag and have Motorstorm and 2 Blu-Rays thrown in, although official word is supposedly coming on Thursday................. I'm not holding my breath to be honest with you. |

I guess we'll see what happens. Japan has been cheaper for a while. The only reason I would say it would stay where it is in Europe right now is b/c it just came out in March. But I would expect one for you guys at latest Fall. |

Plus the fact Europe always gets ripped off, as it stands we currently pay around $850! for a games console! I don't care if its got this and that thrown in, its primary purpose is a games console. The PS3 is only £50 cheaper than what we paid for our PC! |

Isn't your government partially to blame for that?
Don't they put some ridiculously large tax on gaming system companies to import or something?
That was one of the reasons Sony put so much into the PS3 trying to make it a Media Hub to avoid the taxes.
At least that's what I read. |

Not as far as I know no, theres a 17.5% VAT (value added tax) on everything in Great Britain (well most of Great Britain, some of the islands are exempt, such as the Channel Isles) |

Because people will pay it anyway as we have no choice but to go without other wise.
Admittedly, Microsoft are getting better, as witnessed by 3 or 4 titles coming out here before they have your side of the pond over the last couple of weeks (and blue Dragon coming four days earlier if nothing happens).
Nintendo have always been terrible for it, right back to the NES days for release dates anyhow, I think we got the Gamecube a little cheaper than you guys and the DS (both versions) were alot closer to what you pay than normal
Sony are somewhere in the middle, sometimes, if we don't get charged well over the odds then we have to wait an incredibly long time for stuff, if we even get it.
SEGA used to be alright with release dates for here, and we had a couple of titles you guys didn't get on the Dreamcast (Rez, Headhunter and Shenmue 2 are the main ones I think) |
