Thats what adds to the appeal, at least in Nippons case. Not just any company can add cheesy and still hope to sell a lot. These games thrive on cheesy. Yet the games are still dangerously addictive. Let Disgaea and it's sequel, Phantom Brave, Makai Kingdom, La Pucelle speak for it's fame. All of them having a relevant amount of cheesiness. No doubt like it implies this game will break all the barriers once set by past games. At least hopefully. |

I'm against all grid combat games.
Disgaea was a great game for the story but due to the grid system I couldn't get very far and never got to experience how awesome it was which really pissed me off.
So I've given up on grids permanently. |

I need to get back to Odin Sphere, especially now that I've finished one of the best RPGs ever (gameplay wise... definitely not story wise), Rogue Galaxy!
Seriously, I think it comes in 2nd or 3rd for me.
