I never want to go to war. War is a bloody thing that always will end badly, I don't care if you're ousting a dictator or not, people will be hurt, and a lot of money will have been wasted. That said, no I don't want us to go to war.

But since we are going in anyway, lets hope it ends quickly and with minimum casualties

Well my thoughts are that we should because if we dont take sudam out he will only get stronger and he might be able to nuck us or something

yea katana got a point but look, none of saddams missles are strong enough to reach the u.s. by the time it was a quarter through the atlantic ocean it would die out.

This is where such things as stealth bombers come in. They have them. And the truth is, their most dangerous weapons...We gave them to Iraq. So it's not a matter of "Their missiles aren't strong enough." Their *our* missles. And my grandfather (the fount of political wisdom for me) made a good point:

"You have this guy who thumbs his nose at the entire world. He's like the man on the block who won't mow his lawn, Won't paint his house, Won't keep up his yardwork. It's his by god, and he's gonna live in it just like that. Even though it's driving the property value around him down. ...That's why we have to get rid of him."

Neh, I've had a No Iraq War sign outside my house for quite a while, participated in serveral large protests, and 'died' at a die-in. It's pretty obvious where my opinions lie. But ofcourse it's no longer "do we want to or not", seeing as we'll be invading like the terrorists we so hate "at a time of our choosing."

Oh, and don't blow up oil wells guys.

wow. i wonder why i stay at this forum. dont any of you people realize that just because he cant target us doesnt mean he cant target PEOPLE. we need to take this guy out because he is a psychopath bent on destruction. No one else is going to do anything because its much easier to sit around and do NOTHING. but what happens when he invades kuwait again? what happens when he sends VX poison gas out into surrounding countries? what happens when he bombs Israel with mustard gas or blister gas or nerve gas or whatever? what happens when we do prove he is helping terrorists? you can act righteous and say you are against war, but the government is NOT going to care. did they care 30 years ago in Vietnam? NO THEY DID NOT. god, stop being so anal and realize that this is life. war is not good or fun. its bloody. people die. but if we could make this world a safer place for everyone else to live in shouldnt we? i know i have said it before and i will say it again, if i were old enough and didnt have any conditions preventing me from doing it i would gladly go fight for this country and help make the ENTIRE WORLD safer.

I have to agree with righty. If i was old enough to, i would help my country out, cause if we let Saddam go on any longer, then the world is not going to be safe, and the only way to make the world safe, is to get rid of people like him...cause people like him will never change. no matter what you do
