Sony is doing the same thing with this history oriented Strat RPG that they did with GoW:CoO...
Reviews for the game are just starting to come out. Gamespot, who is always critical, gave it an 8.5. Which is pretty damn good for a PSP game from them. They gave Bioshock it's lowest score up to now... a 9.0.

As it did with God of War: Chains of Olympus back in April, Sony Computer Entertainment America has opened up registration for a free demo of Jeanne D'Arc. PlayStation Underground members can sign up by clicking the "Get a Free UMD Demo" link on the official Jeanne D'Arc website. Demos will be mailed out on a first-come, first-serve basis, and those not familiar with the PlayStation Underground can certainly sign up for a free account and still be eligible.
Expected to ship this week, Jeanne D'Arc pairs strategic RPG gameplay with historical fiction for a PSP-exclusive experience from celebrated developer, Level-5 (Dark Cloud). Those looking for a bit more on this armor-clad French maiden can check out our previews in both hands-on and historical analysis varieties. |

I don't know whether to laugh at that review or just shake my head in disappointment.
Good thing they are not a fully serious thing. That would have torn the score down for what is truly amazing game. |

I wouldn't mind the SDF if they were just that... a defense for Sony. But I don't consider ripping apart a game b/c it's on 360 as "defense" of Sony.
That's just being retarded.
They blatantly dis one of the most highly acclaimed games since Zelda:OOT... Just b/c it's on 360... that's just retarded.
Then, when the PS3 version of the game does come out... They will probably give it a 10... even if it's an inferior version... which unfortunately for PS3 only gamers... seems to be a going trend. |

So YEAH, Jeanne D'Arc, looks really nice.
I signed up last week so hopefully that demo will be rolling in my mail box sometime soon. It looks pretty nice, it doesn't hurt that I already love tactics style games and level 5 is A-OK in my book! Plus I like the way they've twisted the Joan of Arc mythos. |

OK... I bought the game... and it's awesome.
This is the best tactical RPG I've played since FF Tactics (However I didn't play the Disgia series).
It's simple to pick up and play, fun and, best of all, CHEAP! The game is only $30 and from the hour or so that I've played it, I'm loving it. I find myself looking forward to picking up my PSP (especially since I picked up one of the sexy new ones.
Any one wanna buy a PSP. 
If you are into Tactical RPGs... BUY THIS!
You know, I'm really starting to LOVE Level 5!
White Knight Story playable at TGS. I can't wait!  |
