Yeah... pretty sad in my opinion.
The Word "LINUX" is Inappropriate in Xbox Live
Give me an F'in break. Are you that afraid of competition in the OS market that you can't even have the name of a competing OS, THAT DOES A BETTER JOB ON SERVERS BY FAR, in your motto.
So ... out of spite ...
I tried L.I.N.U.X > Windoze
Wasn't "appropriate"
then L1NUX... not "appropriate"
so it's LI NUX > Windoze
So... to reiterate my thoughts... 360... like it... but MS... hate them! |

While I find it hysterical that they would classify Linux as a vulgarity (at least to them)...did you actually read the comments? Some of the people commenting said that "Microsoft" was also a banned word.
I'd be interested to see if that was really the case, or just people making things up. You should give it a try and report to us.
Then I would wonder why in the hell they would do something like that. |

Apparently (again according to one of the comments) Nintendo is valid also.
WTF is going on?
EDIT: Maybe they made Microsoft inappropriate as sort of a sign of good faith for making Linux inappropriate. But that doesn't explain the others being ok. Or maybe...Linux really DOES piss them off enough to make it an inappropriate word, and they've become so enthralled with themselves that they've started to refer to themselves as "The Unmentionable One". |
