My problem with it is this: they have all of these media features (picture viewer, mp3 player, etc) but they take out the mem card ports. So how are you supposed to get your media on the system? Email it to yourself?
Now on the other side, backward compatability is useless for me. My modded PS2 is hooked up so a PS3 wouldn't serve me there. As a matter of fact I don't even play my GC games on my Wii. I understand why Sony is creating different PS3 packages but I think they'd do better to streamline them (racing package w/GT or Motorstorm, 2 controllers; Action pack w/shooter, 2controllers, HDef cables; Media pack w/large HD) than just randomly dropping features, which is how it looks to me. Reprice the 60gig package at $400 and you'll move systems. Right now, the 40gig system will sell more as a cheap bluray player than as a game system, IMO. |

There's still 2 usb ports.
USB Flash Drive.
USB External Hard Drive
USB Flash card reader
All of those would work |

It does accept SD cards ... yes.
The 60G and 80G versions that is. |

I know that there are catches every once in a while about certain brands or models that don't work with the PS3 for some reason. But it's not many.

Hmm.. I don't know.
Another thing that happens to me is, when I'm playing a game, my controller gets stuck and doesn't work at all for a short period of time. In this period, the character starts walking to the right. I think I may have a bad controller too.  |

See I always thought this was corrected by firmware updates.
I've NEVER experienced this since I got the system in March. |
