So basically, it's Monster Hunter wannabe and it's stuck in ad-hoc just like MH. Yay?
Might be worth it if it includes all 3 Story Episodes. Ep 2 & 3 are supposed to be really good.

It's a service that allows ad hoc games to be played online.
For the PSP, you do need a Wifi Adaptor, even if you have Wifi already (at least the last time I used it you did), but it works and it works well.
Ultra and I played Monster Hunter on it several times. |

I second that! I didn't think Xlink was all that bad though. They may have made improvements though. We'll have to see.

The problem is when you get into extended Xlink play sessions and the problem isn't really inherent with Xlink so much as Wifi Max which usually poops out and requires resetting every few hours. Plus there's the whole handcuffed-to-a-desk feeling when playing Xlink. I can't wander around my apartment, into the kitchen for some snacks...I'm basically handcuffed to my computer desk for fear of losing a connection. And while Xlink is handy enough, it'll never be as capable as an integrated system could be. |

How does one get an Xlink? Is it some sorta paper-weight device that I need to hook up to my comp? I thought the PSP had a wireless modem thingy and I didn't need an attachment of sorts. Man I'm confused! Story of my life.
Oh and your right Wolf. It does suck that PS:P has a crap excuse for online play. I live in New Jersey! I don't see anyone in here that lives in Jersey so I guess I'm SOL and I'll have to play with myself....on PS:P of course. |

Ultra... wouldn't you be handcuffed anyway... you can't go to far from the wireless.
Xlink is a program you can download. Then you get a WiFi Max and you can use the two in conjunction to play ad hoc psp and ds games online. |
