Nice place. The drivers are teh poop.

I know whenever I've been there, I've enjoyed it. If you like the cold, then you'll probably like this place. Also, if you like history, Boston is DRIPPING with it. There are many places for you to visit and check out, as well as taking a walk on the freedom trail.

Don't forget, if you like seafood, Boston is a great place to get said seafood. They know how to cook it there...especially chowder.

Also, you have nice central places, like Quincey Market and the Downtown area. If you like college areas, check out around BU or wherever the hell.

And don't ever forget...you're probably about 2-3 hours away from all of us in the tristate area.

I want to go there to visit, for sure. There's a lot of literary history there, and it's not far from other New York type places that also have a lot of literary history.

As far as living there, though, I have no idea.

Well, i dont know anything definite of course, but yes there is a potential job that is being looked into more up there, and neither of us really know much about it except its REALLY FARGING COLD!

Remember we've both been in GA or FL for most/all of our lives, and hes a surfer, so I dont know what he thinks about it. I guess we'll wait to see what he can find out about the position, and if the perks of the job would outweigh the cold .

My accent would really stand out up there wouldnt it? I would actually say BOston instead of BAston.

Boston's got a beach, but I don't know how good the surfing is there. If my friend Sarah comes online tonight then I'll ask her more about it.

I've considered applying to work with a company up there, but I'm holding off until I get a degree.

Boston is a pretty nice city. As has already been said, it's steeped with history and culture and the colonial architecture (found in some parts) is pretty cool. It's also has a very young feel to it, probably because there are so many colleges there. And like any city really, you can find some pretty great food, as has already been mentioned. For example, the seafood, which everyone already knows about. What most people probably don't know about, however, is that the North End (the Italian section) has some pretty slammin' Italian food. As good if not (gasp!) better than New York city (double gasp!).

But like any city it has it's share of problems. Yes, it gets friggen' cold in the winter, but that's the price you pay for living in New England. And like a lot of cities, it can be expensive. But that also has to do with the fact that it's in the North East.

Massachussetts driver DO suck pretty bad, but after recently spending time in Florida and experiencing that driving...adventure, I'm sure that it's not anything you're not used to already. Getting around by car is supposedly a pain in the ass though, although most of my city driving has been in New York City, which (despite it's faults) is laid out in a pretty logical grid pattern that's easy to navigate, so I may be biased/spoiled.

The biggest thing that bugs me about Boston are the Bostonians themselves. I don't know what it is...they just seem...annoying. And don't even think of publicly cheering for any sports teams other than Boston sports teams (or the Patriots). They're fanatical and will probably cut you or something. But that may just be me and the fact that I live in snobby Connecticut.

Speaking of which...did we already mention that Boston is only a short 2-3 hours from Connecticut?

Seriously though...it's also in a pretty nice location, relative to other cities. You're fairly close to New York city, and even closer to Providence or Hartford (although I can't imagine who the hell would want to go to either of those).

The information is definitely helpful. Yeah we've heard its expensive so thats a worry. But nothing definite yet, he may not even like the position, so hes going to find out more information. Would be cool to be closer to you guys though
