I have a gamecube. There are games on it that I enjoy. I have a PS2. There are games on it that I enjoy. I have an Xbox. There are games on it that I enjoy.
This isn't a question, I'm sorry. It doesn't matter what game system is "better." They all have different games, the games are of various qualities, great. But one system over another really isn't anything other than looking at the cover of a book that has no pages.
You want the sterotypes? Fine. Xbox has superior graphics, PS2 has RPGs, and Gamecube has kiddy games. Those are the stereotypes. That is what a poll will represent if you hold it. We know what people are going to put. Please stop these pointless polls. I want to discuss, not tally. |

I don't think the stereotypes are as evident as you make them seem. I'm not all that impressed with XBox graphics, GameCube has a good amount of strictly NON-KIDDIE games (Resident Evil anyone?), and I'm not an RPG player, so I could care less that PS2 may have a lot of them.
The only one of the three that I have is a PS2. I've seen what XBox and GameCube can do, and while impressive, I still don't think that they can top PS2, and as such, I don't need to go out and buy the other two because I know I'll just be wasting money. Everything that I can get from them I can get with my PS2. Throw in the fact that it has far more games than the other two, and the fact that I can use it to play my old Playstation favorites, and you have the best system on the market, with the most options, hands down.
And that, of course, is just my opinion...

Well I gotta go with the Cobster on this one. I've always been against those "Which is better?" polls because it's not a question of "better". That's all relative. The games make the system. IMO, Dreamcast was a "better" system than PS and we see what that meant. Sega's always been my preferred company (except GG over GB) but that's because the library has always beaten all others, hands down.
As for now, the "best" system is my PC because I can run every emulator under the sun and have all the systems in one nice neat package.
