The new gaming rig
Q6600 (was going to get an E8400 but this was on sale for $199)
EVGA nForce 780i mobo
SLIed GeForce 9600 GTs
2gb of ram
Thermaltake Armor case
Coolmaster 850w PSU
Raided WD Raptor 150GB HDDs
SB Audigy (edit ha i bought this instead of using the live)
D-Link Extreme N PCI wireless card
Runs amazingly fast. Altho at the moment, I'm not loading up too much as one of my HDDs was bad and has to be RMAed through WD as I bought it last July.
:edit: Added the Wireless card and the comp is going to have another 4gb of ram added in the future as well. |

Yay! That's basically the computer I want to build except I'm going to probably use a Raidmax Smilodon case and OCZ Slipstream power supply. I'll probably get a X-Fi for that sucker too.
How much did everything run you, per part? |

I have an Extra M$ 5 button Optical mouse that I'm using so I didn't have to buy a mouse.
Oh yeah according to bench marks SLIed 9600 GTs are about 20% Faster and half as much as a GeForce 8800 Ultra |

Loaded Crysis on it. At the monitors max resolution (1280x1024) and max filtering it defaulted all settings to high and runs ubersmooth. |

thats because andys server = dead
and my first 780i mobo died, so i gotted another one and changed the ram for 5gb of mushkin ascention and got a 800w modular psu. all for dirt cheap from my good friend who works as a sales rep for mushkin. wholesale prices ftw. |
